Union (The World) shows us a nude man, balanced with one foot on the ground and one on a slope. His arms are stretched wide as though embracing the world. An hourglass shaped ray of golden orange light brightens the sky behind him. The land beneath his feet is dark and indistinct. A body of water is visible beyond the land's edge.

The Book says: This entire card is a fourfold vision of the world, with Humanity as the measure and master of all things. Below him in the border are symbols of the fate that Albion has transcended: Leviathan in the sea of time and space, and the worm of death coiled around a shrouded corpse. In the border, two angels hold scrolls in inspiration. The left angel looks at the stars of Pleiades (the "flock of doves") sacred to the goddess), symbolizing the feminine portion; and the right angel looks at the stars of Orion, symbolizing masculine portion. The clouds joining the two angels is the unified spiritual body of man.

Bee's Buzz: Union strikes me as symbolizing the intersection of all elements into the glorious creation that is man. This cord reminds me of someone reaching a pinnacle in their life, a moment of crowning achievement and glory. This man has overcome all obstacles and emerged victorious. This man has the world at his feet and has every reason to feel exhilarated. This is that moment of perfectly balanced joy and satisfaction we feel after a significant achievement. It is that feeling of oneness with the Universe, of finding our purpose in life. It may not last but perhaps the desire to achieve that feeling again is what keeps us going and striving; working to achieve new goals and reach new pinnacles.
