Arcus Arcanum Tarot - World
created by Gunter Hager; illus. by Hansrudi Wascher
Publisher: AGMuller

The World shows a beautiful nude blonde woman stepping gently in space. Beneath her feet we see Earth. Her arms are outstretched and a golden ray of light arches from one hand to the other and an eye sits at its center. She wears a smile as she tilts her head back just a bit and closes her eyes. A snake forms a leminscate around her body with its head meeting its tail. Around her feet we see the four symbols of the Tarot suits arrayed. A man holds a cup. An eagle clasps a sword. The lion charges towards a wand and a bull stands near a pentacle.

The LWB says: The final success and the real destination have been reached. The integration of all essential components has been effected, serving now to bring the parts of the whole - each in its place and according to its qualities - under the rule of unity. The coordinated levels of consciousness. This is the fulfillment of an essential and superior cycle. The achievement of an important aim in life opens up the long sought opportunities of development and liberties for which one searched for a long time. Now, life is exposed to change which a person can only determine himself and alone.

Bee's Buzz: This card suggests wholeness, completeness, a sense that all the pieces of the puzzle are finally in place. We have reached the pinnacle of the mountain and the journey is ended. We are now centered at have found our core. But some aspects of this card are blue and shadowy. Each of the figures holding the symbols of the suits are in shadow - as though we can feel their influence but not see them. We are aware of their presence and their influence in our lives but they don't need to be present for their impact to be felt. The remind me of past influences - family, friends and experiences in our lives that have helped to form us and create the person we are now. The may no longer be physically present but they are felt just the same. The blonde woman seems to radiate joy and contentment. She has achieved her goals and now stands ready to enjoy the benefits. The world literally lies at her feet. She is surrounded by the powers of the universe and can choose to use them as she desires. It is a heady feeling - one that inspires both awe and wonder. But it is a responsibility too. It would be too easy to abuse these powers or to allow oneself to rest on your laurels. Just because this portion of the journey is over does that mean we stop trying and stop growing? Or does it mean we can now seek a new challenge, a new path, a new opportunity for growth and knowledge? It is ultimately our decision - do we try to maintain the illusion of being on the top of the world or do we allow ourselves to become the Fool once again? Only you can decide this for yourself.
