Comparative Tarot

Two of Fire (Convergence) shows us two pinwheels topped with reddish six-pointed stars. They cross each other to form and X. At the point where they converge we see a bundle of pale green fronds - either leaves or ribbons. Behind this a black orb surrounded by a yellow corona is visible. The tops of the pinwheels, the six-pointed stars, are surrounded by rings of energy. They seem to be spinning so fast that their swirling leaves an almost invisible trace in their wake. Yet despite this color and faint traces of energy, the focus of the card remains the point of convergence.

LWB says: Unfocused energy becomes clear and polarized. You feel you now have a strong direction. You are making changes spiritually, emotionally, intellectually and physically. While you may go through various struggles, your courage in starting an enterprise will eventually pay off. Maintain your internal sense of balance as you begin your new activities.

Bee's Buzz: Somehow the center of the stems, the point of convergence, seems to be the primary focus of one's eyes when looking at the card. It is as though the energy raised by the spinning stars is channeled into the stems, to this point of convergence. As a result of this channeled energy the green fronds are produced and the black and yellow orb is created. It reminds me of how we will sometimes spin our wheels, trying in vain to make changes or transform ourselves. But until we learn the next step, how to channel it and focus it, we spin in vain. We may have the power and the fire and the will but if we cannot aim it and focus it in a positive fashion then it does not serve us. So this card forces us to ask how we can learn to focus our energies, how we can converge the two - our energy & passion with our will and goals. If we are able to conquer this challenge then we are further along the path to achieving our creative and spiritual goals.
