Rohrig Tarot - Two of Wands
Carl Rohrig Bluestar Communications, 1995 This is a beautiful card. I will never be able to
describe it thoroughly enough, but I'll try. There is
a lot of detail in the Rohrig deck!
Over the word "wands" at the top, it says "Dominion".
The top and bottom of the card look like notebook
paper, and there are words written on the top of the
paper--apparently the artist's notes about the card.
The picture is of two irridescent wands rising up into
the sky. Behind them, a distance away, is a mountain
with a structure atop it. Light is radiating from the
structure. There are two winding paths that lead from
the front of the card to the top of the mountain. The
mountain and earth are in brown and orange tones; the
sky behind it is purple.
LWB: Very concise. In the introduction to the
minors, the author states that wnds symbolize summer,
and represent "the prime energy, movement, excitement
and creative male energy."
For 2 of wands: Creative
energy waiting to be channeled; the reigns of power
and will; ruling over a situation.
I see this card as a journey to the divine spark of
creativity within oneself. It is a time to tap into
the power within in order to produce results. These
results could be a project at work or home, or it
could be more subtle. As a teacher, I think of
applying this to my relationship with my students, or
setting the tone within the classroom. The road is
winding, indicating that it will be no simple
process. But the illumination is there, waiting to be
found.
