Cosmic Tarot - Two of Wands
Norbert Losche
F.X. Schmid, 1988

A man stands proudly, posed between two wands, which have roots going into the ground. There is an arc of light radiating from one to the other. Behind the arc is a cloud-filled sky; the sun is coming out from behind one of the clouds. Closer to the ground a flock of birds fly over a mountain range. There are stones, flowers, and trees behind the man. His gaze is off past us, a little up. He appears ready for something. The sky is yellow, and the ground is reddish-brown.

LWB: A young man in a confident posture stands between two wands. Meaning: dominion, superiority, authority, success by understanding the opposites, hesitation, contradictory events, sadness.

IMHO: The card signifies the preparation for a task or project. It indicates readiness--the man in the card is nothing if not ready. He exudes confidence and control. The entire structure of the card is strong, verticle, bright. When I look at it I hear dramatic marches playing in the background. If I drew this card for myself I would read it as absolute reassurance that I can do what needs to be done. Were it reversed, I would think that I need to find a way to believe that.

Peace,
Arcana
