Blue Rose Tarot - Two of Wands

2 of Wands shows us a large, muscular, older man standing in front of a large
furnace. His face is covered by a full white beard and black sunglasses. A
bandanna is tied around his head. He looks like a biker glassblower. He examines
an object on the tip of the rod he holds in his hands. He monitors its condition
as he prepares to forge it into whatever he desires. The heat emanates from the
furnace with a tangible energy. Framing this image are rows of dancing flames,
giving the impression that the glassblower is being seen through a frame of
fire.
The Book says: In the suit of Wands, element of fire, this need to express one's
own creative idea can be so intense that it can become overpowering, almost
volatile. It may signify a desire to embark on a new adventure, change careers,
invent something that has never before been envisioned or develop a new idea
that has never before been considered. Or, manifesting in an uncontrolled
manner, it can signify that the need to create is of such intensity that it
dominates or smothers the creative ideas of those around you. After the initial
spark of creative thought ignited in the Ace, the actual creative process of
developing an idea, assembling the ingredients, wrapping them around the glass
wand, inserting it into the fire to then interact with the tremendous heat of
the fire become the next stop - the Two.
Bee's Buzz: I love the image on this card. It speaks of an inner strength and
focus as well as a sense of determination and drive. The glassblower is willing
to withstand the heat, risk injury and do whatever else is necessary to bring
his vision into reality. There is a symmetry, a sense of spiritual fire in this
man. He is completely focused on his art. The spirit of the fire and the spirit
of the man will merge to create something beautiful and moving. This card
reminds me of the feeling expressed by some writers, artists and other creative
folks of being touched by a divine spirit. To the ancient Celts is was called
awen - the divine inspiration that drives and forces us to create something. It
is a sense of being consumed by this desire, this need to express your creative
spirit into physical form. It is the partnering of our inner, creative spirit
with our outer, physical being. One without the other cannot create. If we truly
wish to create something magical and spiritual in
our lives, whether this is something creative or a relationship, a marriage or
a child. Whatever it might be, this card serves as a reminder that for us to
create something truly spiritual, beautiful and meaningful in our lives we need
to blends these sides of our nature; to learn to work with and harness some of
our inner fire.
