Arcus Arcanum Tarot - Two of Wands
created by Gunter Hager; illus. by Hansrudi Wascher
Publisher: AGMuller
Two of Wands shows a couple standing in a field. Each holds a rod with one hand.
The man's free hand is pointing ahead of them. The woman's free hand is on the
man's wrist. They are dressed in the simple clothing of a farmer or other
laborer. They appear happy and animated. Behind them the sky is the lovely hues
of a sunset. There are green hills in the distance with a path leading through.
This may be what the man is pointing towards.
LWB: "A plan must be prepared and worked out diligently, before it can be
translated into action. Premature striving for results or ambition still lack
any realistic basis, because at present only well-thought out or small steps are
possible."
Bee's Buzz: This card celebrates stable, working relationships. It may be a
marriage or a solid business partnership. The couple are working on something
together. I can see them planning a new home. This card represents the second
phase of a relationship, being comfortable together and still excited about all
the hopes and dreams for the future. This card is a visual reminder of our need
to blend our creative and our physical natures; our yin and yang essences. This
couple represents each one of us. As in many projects we take on in our lives,
it goes much smoother is we do it with someone else. There have actually been
several reality type shows on television that show how a couple can blend their
own distinctive styles into a complementary whole. This allows both partners to
feel validated, honored and respected without a clashing or discordant note.
That is the key to the successful second step in any creative endeavor -
talking, planning and listening to each other. There is a
balance and a partnership necessary for the project to be successful. Because
this card shows a man and a women it immediately reminded me of the give and
take necessary in any good relationship. If one partner dominates the
relationship, things get thrown off balance and it often results in resentment,
anger and eventual withdrawal. So keep the fires burning but don't let things
burn out of control.
