3 of Fire (Birth of Light) shows a golden bowl-like object at the bottom of the card. From this bowl three rays of white light emerge. The rays connect with 3 discs each decorated with a six-pointed star. The left disc is a teal blue with a multi-colored star, the center disc is purple with a white star, and the right disc is pinkish mauve with a red star. A pale, translucent white orb surrounds the discs. A beam of white light shoots up from the purple disc. Behind the teal blue disc we see a darker teal background and behind the mauve disc is a deeper red background.
LWB says: Stay on the path. Keep on with your present activities. Everything is coming into fruition. It is as if a miraculous birth is at hand. To resist this great birth would bring pain. Realize you are in a state of grace and stay with this feeling. Giving birth to the children of body and mind is not easy, but it is a highly rewarding process. In this case, your "child" is a product of love.
Bee's Buzz: When I first looked at this card I assumed the white rays of light were emanating from the golden bowl up to the discs. But what if it is the other way around. What if, instead of the source of energies feeding the different discs, each disc combines it energies to feed the bowl. If the bowl is feeding light and energy to the discs then this could represent how one focus can lead in many directions. The discs are the physical manifestation of our creative ideas, inspirations and passions. We can channel our energies and our creative juices into many different projects, outlets and ideas as long as we have taken the time to tend the source and replenish the bowl. If the discs are feeding the bowl then it suggests that all of our different interests, hobbies, and inspirations join together and feed our spirit, our soul. The bowl may be the birth of light but it does not exist in a vacuum. It is a cycle. The bowl (our spirit, our inner divine creative force) feeds energy and light to the discs (our inspirations, creative outlets and passions). And in turn, tending those discs, freeing our creative energies and allowing them to flow where they will, allows us to keep tending our spirit and nourishing it. As it gets nourished it is better able to supply more sustenance to our creative will and keeps the discs glowing brightly. So the more we express our creative energies the more we feed our creative soul and the more our spirit can soar, allowing us to bring even more creative energy into the cycle.
