MerryDay Tarot - Three of Wands
by Louisa Poole
published by Mill House McCabe
MerryDayTarot.com

A very strong man stands atop a mountain, facing the sun at dawn. Below him in the valley, 3 ships sail off on a journey. The man has very muscular legs. He stands confidently looking out as if to say, "make it so". Two wands are planted in the ground behind him. The wands are both decorated with patterns in red, white and blue. At the top of one wand is the Ankh and atop the other is the Eye of Horus. The 3rd wand he holds in front of him.

This card exudes confidence and ambition. This young man is full of self-confidence. A new beginning is in the works for him.

From the book, Merryday Tarot, Numerology, and the Invisible Kingdom by Louisa Poole: "This card shows an Egyptian who has planted two wands - one with the Eye of Horus on it, the other with the symbol of eternity, the Ankh. Taking the third wand, he looks out over the vastness of the river, teeming with commercial boats, and decides it is time to leave the comfort of home and move into the unknown. An awakening of desire and ambition has occurred in him, which has brought him to the brink of discovery. In a chart, this would denote the desire for a new environment, a change in fortune, and evolution of ideas."
