3 of Wands shows us three winged fairies flitting among a branch which bears lovely red flowers. One fairy wears an orange robe, another a yellow robe and the third wears a pink robe. Each wears a floral wreath atop her dark hair. All play violins. They sky behind them is a wash of light blue and pink.
The Book says: The precious gift to you today is the memory of the muse in your heart. Open to the joy of artistic expression. The music of the universe is constant and flowing. The keynote here is the potentiality of joy - your joy and the joy of life.
Bee's Buzz: Looking at this card reminds me of the joy and passion of youth. There is a sense of peacefulness and energy present in this card. The flying fairies may be the next step after the wistful contemplation shown in the two. Each of these 3 fairies has seen her true self reflected and now chooses to celebrate and share their joy, energy and happiness with each other and with us. The red flowers reinforce the sense of passion and lust for life. Their brightly colored gowns may also tie in to this energy - yellow, orange and pink are all vibrant and joyful colors. Even the sky blue pink color of the sky reinforces a sense of joy and peace, happiness and excitement. In some ways these three fairies remind me of the Power Puff Girls - each resourceful, powerful and strong in her own right. They may all be different but each brings something to the group and the whole is more than just the sum of its parts. That is another aspect of this card, each fairy represents part of ourselves and their presence makes us that much more complete. And as the song goes "3 is a magic number".
