Animal Tarot - Three of Wands

Paula's 3W doesn't necessarily fit in with Joan Bunning's definitions of this card as "Exploration, Leadership & Foresight." But in a numerologic way, as the natural progression from the one & two, it works very well.

The Ace of Wands depicts a single flamingo, standing stock-still on its leg, against a fantastical background, suggesting solar flares. One gets the impression that the aura of tranquility is superficial; under the surface, great creative activity is in the works. The Two, then, shows two nesting flamingos, an egg cherished between them. The creative energy of the Ace has found its partner, and between the two, they gestate their project, hiding in leaves to nurture it. (By the way, no, all the wands are NOT birds).

And then the Three bursts forth as the product of the creative energy of the Ace, nurtured by the expansion of the Two. And what a creative product it is! The Three depicts the head of an ostrich, viewed from slightly below its gaping, wide open mouth. Its eyes are wide open, the tongue is protruding; this ostrich looks like it's singing at the top of its voice!! Behind it lies a musical score, shaded in yellows & oranges. Like any great artist, the ostrich can use the source material (the score), but can put its own twist on it, surpassing the original plan in a totally unique way.

Reading interpretations:
You have something to say...say it LOUD! This is no time to be shy; allow your creativity to flow; don't be surprised if it grows beyond your expectations. Don't hide your light under a bushel!

Reversed or less favorably aspected:
Have you put in all the planning that you needed to? Before you open your mouth, make sure that you can back it up; have your plans in place, your research done, know what you're going to do next. Don't forget that opening your mouth leaves room to insert your foot!

Blessings
