Rock and Roll Tarot - Ten of Voice

Explanation Card: fulfillment of fire Bob Marley fighting on arrival fighting for survival

Description: This is a great card. Bob Marley is gazing up and into the distance past us. His look is wise, contemplative and pained. Ten symbols for voice (an open mouth with a spiral in it) float above his head. The colors of the card are orange and black. The lyric on the card read “Fighting on arrival; Fighting for survival”.

My take: The lyric is from the song “Buffalo Soldier”, which is about the Africans being taken from their homes and forced into slavery. Again, this card indicates oppression, but in this card they are ready to fight — not necessarily only for freedom, but for life. Marley’s face in the picture is sad and strong at the same time. This card doesn’t show someone “sinking down into the flames”.
