Wonderland Tarot - Six of Peppermills
Created by Ed Buryn
Thorson Publishers, 1995
ISBN 1 85538 330 6

Alice tries on the crown of the White Queen, who she will someday become. One peppermill stands close to her, while another five line the back of the card, across a little road or a golfer's sand trap. Alice seems to have a mirror she looks in, though we can't see it.

LWB: A great triumph. A victory. Good news with far-reaching ramifications. Expectations rewarded. Hope.

Reversed: Fear of the future. Paranoia. Uncertain victory or gain. Long delay. Disloyalty.

Our journey so far: The ace - a hand holds a peppermill. A gift from the universe. The two, a playing-card character stands on a balcony between two peppermills, toasting the countryside. He's lonely and set apart, though it's not his fault. The three, Alice peeks around the curtain - stage fright. The four - four peppermills stand together wreathed in green. Stability, order, not much really going on. The five - the playing cards fight each other. Chaos, strife.

And now the six. Alice has the crown, though it's a brief possession, it's not her time to keep it yet. A respite time, to sit down and breathe for a moment.

She has learned a lot. She has seen things that she never could have dreamed of. Now it's time to sit back, in this pocket of serenity, and integrate it all.
