Quest Tarot - Six of Wands
Creator: Joseph Ernest Martin
Publisher: Llewellyn

Description: Six crystal torches float upright above a crystal blue ocean. Each torch has two gold bands and six oval stones, three on the bands and three larger ones around the top bands. An ornate crown in red and gold sits at bottom center, flanked by plants with green leaves and tiny red flowers. A hand of pink flame rises behind the crown, reaching back toward the torches. Distant white fireworks rise from the horizon at the card's center, and clouds form a pair of white outstretched wings at top center.

Card title: Victory

Astrological association: Jupiter in Leo

Stones: Ruby, Peridot, Turquoise, Onyx, Sardonyx

Roman letter: F

I Ching: 2, The Receptive, Natural Response (R.L. Wing)

Faceup Meaning: A triumphant attitude that inspires others. Success as the result of hard work. A blessed victory. Advancement as the result of your personal efforts. Realizing your goals. High energy. Flying high. Having your heart lifted to new heights. The culmination of positive effort. The Victory card, when it appears in a reading, gives a positive sign to any question. Feeling good about yourself.

Reversed Meaning: Feeling fearful. Unexpected delays. Dread over the achievements of a competitor. Being passed over for a promotion. Having to wait for a reward. Having self-doubts. Losing the admiration of others. The rapid delivery of bad news. Complications in a project. Losing direction. A negative attitude leads to failure.

My take on it: Although the victory has been won, this person didn't stay around to watch the celebration in their honor. They've left their worldly crown behind, passed the torch to someone else. They're watching in spirit (the wings) and are honored by these accolades, but they've already flown on to the next challenge.
