Mansions of the Moon Tarot - Six of Wands

Six of Wands shows a young fair-haired man mounted atop a charging white steed. The young man holds a staff topped with a victory wreath in across his chest. Five other staves are raised across his path. In front of him stand a multitude of men, some crowned and some not. And the young man charges ahead - heedless of these obstacles.
Traditional Meaning: Spiritual revitalization and expansion. The victor triumphing. Achievement, fulfillment of hopes and wishes, and great satisfaction in career. The gift of victory that comes from working with others to achieve a goal. Unification with Fire. Optimism producing the very success it desires and expects.
Bee's Buzz: This card does speak of victory and triumph but it also serves as a cautionary image. At what price does our victory come? This young man holds a staff bearing a victory wreath but he may run over a number of people in his path. It reminds me of a classic Hollywood story - brash young man arrives in town determined to make a name for himself. He tramples a number or people in his pursuit of his dream. It warns that sometimes we can be victorious on an external level but internally we have lost contact with our true self, with our divine, spiritual, creative nature. But at the same time, if we stay true to ourselves and honor our creative, divinely inspired nature, we can be victorious without harming others and compromising this divine energy.
