Hudes Tarot - Six of Wands

This card shows a young man dressed in green standing by his horse. He does not have any body armor on so I see it more as a challenge than a battle of war. He holds the reins of the horse in his right hand and a wand with a laurel wreath on the end of it in his left hand. Five other wands are standing tall just on the other side of his horse. To me, this represents that he has everything he needs to face his challenges and will be ready when they appear. The young man has a look of determination on his face. It appears that although he has won a victory, he knows that there will be other challenges that he must face. He is keeping his horse near as if he is ready to meet whatever challenges he may face. However, there are no cheering crowds and no celebration. The young man seems to be standing alone not only in his struggle but also his victory. So, he doesn't appear to take a lot of joy in his victory. However, this challenge has been won and will give him a short respite before he meets the challenges of the seven.
