In the 6 of wands, a ceramic water jug hangs from a rope stretched across the card. A blindfolded gnome smacks it with a stick, spraying water all over her red hair and purple dress. The word at the bottom is Good Fortune.
LWB: Never rely on luck.
Well, the cards leading up to this have certainly made their own luck - the ace, a gnome chops down a large tree. 2, a female gnome carves a club, being careful to only make the correct cuts; once gone, it can't be called back. 3, an old gnome is bent with the weight of the bundle of wood she carries. 4, a gnome stirs a cauldron with a large stick, a pleased expression on her face. 5, a rat seems to be smacked with the club that seems to float above him.
I guess to the outsider, hard work can masquerade as luck. The outsider doesn't see the work that goes into developing a skill, they only see the single hit that brings down the piñata, the single swing of the bat that hits the home run to win the game. It seems easy, and at this point, maybe it is. The skill is so ingrained, it seems like magic.
Use your skill. Enjoy it. Take pride in what you have earned. Don't inflate it, but recognize that you do have skills.
