Wheel of Change Tarot - Seven of Wands

And now for something completely different …

This card is an explosion of color. Fireworks explode over an amusement park, painting a black, starry sky with color. Colorful tents decorate the ground, and a roller coaster rises in the background. Seven flaming torches are falling through the air, obviously the work of a juggler, although he is not visible.

According to the book, the wands being juggled symbolize the different aspects of our lives, especially in regards to creativity. The carnival rides symbolize fun and fear, and the patterns of our lives. The fireworks depict creative invention and experimentation. The card is meant to remind us to pay attention to all parts of our life rather than focusing on some and avoiding others; to live in the present rather than focusing on the future or sticking in the past; to truly "be here now" and enjoy and value the experiences of life. It also reminds us to take credit praise for our accomplishments, and to acknowledge others as well.

To me the card really shows excitement and gives the flavor of "Carpe Diem" -- seize the day. Enjoy the moment. Reap the fruits of your labor and enjoy them! Rather than defending your position like traditional 7 of wands suggest, it suggests enjoying your position. Living it, feeling it. Being it.

Peace,
Arcana
