Spiral Tarot - Seven of Wands

In this card, a farmer is standing on a small knoll where he has grown a crop of wheat. He holds one wand in his hands horizontally. His arms are outstretched in a defensive position. His eyes are open and he sees the need to be aware of the obstacles that may still come. The other six wands stand in front of him if he needs them. The sky is a deep blue with a few white gray clouds. My thought is the 'calm before the storm.' This card suggests that he has plenty of energy available to complete his task. He also realizes that he has overcome a lot of obstacles to get to where he is now and he stands ready to defend his position from any who oppose him.
The book says:
“Make a stand when challenged; know your rights. Sometimes the seven of wands indicates you are contending with difficulties very well and no one can take advantage of you.”
