Fairy Godmother:
Just saying that name,
Fairy Godmother, conjures up lovely images for me. Fairy tales as
a child and magic and fantasy, and hope and love. Just to start.
Now, The card: A lovely fairy sits
on a cloud. Her long hair is red and flowing. Her cloak is prple
with blue trim which has crrescent mooms along it. She holds a key
(to open up mysticl doors?) in one hand and a wand in the other.
The wand points down and sprinkles magic on the horse-drawn pumkin
coach below. The horse looks up at the magic being sprinkled
downon them. Animals are so much more in-tune with magic and the
nature forces. Above her is another cloud with a castle in it.
Personally I was always more
interested in being the Fairy Godmother than Cinderella.
From the book, Inner Child
Cards: A Journey Into Fairy Tales, Myth and Nature
"While not the main character in the original Grimm Brothers'
Cinderella, The Fairy Godmother has played a big part in shaping
our inner awareness of magical helpers, due to the Walt Disney
adaptation of the story."
My thoughts:
She is the mother, the
Lady. She is in tune with spiritual dimensions and shares this
with those who need her. She helps us, but mainly to find the
magic within ourselves.
From the book:
"We have our high priestess
or fairy godmother within us. Where we honor her is the deepest
place of our psyche. She grows into our wisdom as we gain faith in
the spirit of our eternal and undeniable protection in the
universe."
My thoughts:
When I had my first reading
done, the woman had me pull one card from each of her two decks.
Each card I pulled was the High Priestess. She then had me choose
which deck I wanted and the HP became my significator. She helps
me into my inner levels and always guides me.
From the book:
"The Fairy Godmother is an
enchantress, a holy sacred mother of the ancient mysteries. She
ushers in what we think we do not know or cannot have or dare not
to express. She offers our innate wisdom to believe in - be it
miraclews or magic or our divine intelligence. She offers us gifts
of the spirit: the gifts of innerguidance and universal love."
