Cosmic Tarot - Nine of Wands
Norbert Losche
F.X. Schmid, 1988
A man stands proudly in front of four rods. A snake coils around the tallest one. Behind him a lion lurks, the same expression on his face. Five see-through wands cover his face. Above him floats a full moon (or perhaps the sun, but I think it’s the moon!).
LWB: A stong man with a powerful glance in his eyes. There is a lion behind him. Meaning: Strength, self-determination, revealed passions, new self-confidence, “tense” times, delay.
My take: The first word that came to my mind when I looked at this card was “pride”. The man looks very proud — almost haughty, but not quite. The lion, too. Both look very intense — as if they are ready to defend or present themselves in some way.
