Description: A grey lynx-man stands guard outside a wooden stockade fence. It’s winter; there’s snow on the ground and the tree next to him has lost its leaves. He wears a brown shirt and pants with a green vest and boots. His right hand holds a spear at the ready, and his left rests atop his sword at his hip. He stares straight out from the center of the card.
The Wands’ suit symbol, the Salamander, appears in a small circle at the upper left.
My take on it: Keep your eyes open and stay alert. Don’t rely on the walls you’ve built to protect you by themselves, vigilance is also needed. Lynx’s large ears sit straight up, listening for the slightest sound. Forewarned is fore-armed” or something like that. Allow for trouble, yes, but don’t fear it or worry about it so much that you won’t be able to act when and if the time comes. This guy’s paying attention to what’s going on around him, but he’s relaxed rather than tense, confident he can handle whatever comes his way.“
