Book Description
An unmarried man (?), draped in leopard skins worn by ancient priests, stands behind a marble table. A snake belt girds his waist, implying that he is protected by his aquired wisdom. His right hand points upwards, the left to the ground (masculine and feminine energies). The upraised arm grasps a wand flowing into the design of a horse at its tip; it is actually a spear thrower employed in hunting magic. A nine-rayed solarm pendant hangs on his breast, alluding to the source of his power. His circlet is an unadorned gold band. The Magician stands in a Paleolithic cavern, its walls painted with images comprising the earliest evidence of the use of sympathetic magic: a dark cresent moon (?), horse, spiral, and antlered shaman. His sigil is also painted on the cave wall above his head. The marble table is a square block that represents the unknown universe over which the Magician has full magical command. The twelve signs of the zodiac are etched into the table. Four stylized suit markers lay on its surface. They imply the extent of the magician's influence over the physical world and the unversitallity of the magician/shaman role in human cultures.

My views on this card
I feel his energy, his power, but in a comforting way! as my protector. As opposed to someone controlling me, I feel that he is teaching me how to be in control of myself and my life. By using all my natural powers and those provided for me from above and below! Making contact with my base instincts and my Higher Self within. A mentor to guide me in my studies.
