reason you must take notice of the number 6 card in the Cosmic
Tribe deck is because there is 3 of them!! It includes 1 card
showing a male/female couple, 1 card showing a male/male couple
and 1 card showing a female/female couple. This way whatever your
sexual orientation, you can just take your pick!! I must admit
that I do feel slightly left out because (I don't mean to offend
anyone here!) the hetero couple still strikes me as a gay man and
lesbian woman together though I could be wrong :0 Its perfectly ok
though there is 1 deck as far as I know with gay Lovers and in the
hundreds -or more?- of decks which do not. I just plug all three
of them in there and like it very much. Its like the extra
magicians in the Thoth, I just drop 'em all in.
Now all three of the cards are
identical beyond the lovers themselves and the fairies... I LOVE
the fairies!! on the m/f couple the fairy is a bald woman with a
target on her head. She is dropping a purple daisy in a ray of
yellow light down onto the lovers below. She is a rich turquoise
blue, and her color is more intense than the fairies on the other
two cards which are a more subtle light blue. Opps maybe they are
just little blue angels! They do all have little angel wings, not
the usual butterfly wings of a fairy. All of the fairies/angels
are butt naked. The one on the m/m card is a guy who actually
strikes me as being from an old black and white tv show, I have no
idea why, he is blue He has orange feathered wings and is dropping
his hands down into a purple light circle over the lovers heads.
He has a black spiral on each forearm and what looks like a black
serpent under and peeking through his right wing. This brings us
to fairy/angel number three and I lover her to death! She is a fat
blue fairy angel with long orangish hair and emerald green wings.
She is holding an orange daisy in each hand. A few years ago I
went wild painting fat fairies every chance I got, just like this
one. I can think of few things as joyful:) Its one of the reasons
I truly love this deck:))
Beyond this all three cards have
the couple standing in the clear blue water up to the thigh and
there is a ring of fire on the water. The water seems to go on
forever and fades into a deep blue sky with symmetrical thick
white clouds. Just over midway is a pair of eyes barely more than
the sky itself. If you look close enough the eyes almost resemble
the earth with the pupils looking like an eclipse with a slight
golden ring. On the f/f card there is a barely perceptible third
eye in the center.
I would understand the whole of the
trio of cards with all the symbolism in consideration as:
All love is good and blessed in the eyes of God.
Though sometimes it can be all consuming (fire) and hurt a little
(clouds).
From the book:
"The open-hearted Lovers are gateways for the Universe to
express the ecstasy that comes from breaking down the walls of
separation."
