Cosmic Tarot - Four of Wands
Norbert Losche
F.X. Schmid, 1988
Description: A strong, lithe woman dances in a circle made up of 4 rods and 4 flowers. She is standing on one toe, her other leg extends behind her towards the sky. Her arm reaches back with the leg, but she faces forward. A spiral pattern begins at her toe and winds around the circle of wands. Two pyramids sit in the background behind her, and a white bird flies above them in the sky.
LWB: A dancing girl carries out a harmonious movement. Four white roses flourish between four
wands. Meaning: completion, rise, clarification, peace, joy of life, fiery love, guilelessness.
My take: I think of the four of wands as completion, and it is the first key word listed in the LWB.
However, to me the spiral pattern lends itself more to a continuation than an ending. Perhaps this card should be read more as not only a step closer to finishing one’s journey, but a sign that one is on the right track, and is getting “deeper” into the goal.
Peace,
Arcana
