Description
In this card, a nude brown-skinned
boy is walking on his hands at the edge of a narrow stream that
flows down snow-capped pink mountains. On his right foot is his
satchel (yellow with a cosmic eye) looped through a stick or twig.
A peacock feather and three bells are at the end of the twig. A
striped, tiger cat accompanies the Fool, one paw on a stone in the
stream. One stone is at the edge of the water to the left of the
Fool, two more across the stream from that one, four more to the
left of a mushroom patch of five red magic mushrooms on the
opposite bank. Further down the stream, a crocodile straddles the
water. A white lotus flower floats on lily pads to the right of
the Fool and his cat. Behind the Fool, perched like a sentinel is
a griffon vulture. In the background, a shining sun rises (or
sets) over the mountaintops.
Interpretation
This is a card of experiencing life
as pure joy. Life is full of enticements, companionship, guidance,
insights. Even the dangers represented by the crocodile seem
benign (his mouth is closed and tail is curved up like a puppy).
Whatever happens in a day, the sun still rises and sets, rivers
flow, flowers bloom, life happens. The Fool is full of joy and
light.
Key Words
Risk, live, experience, play,
happy-go-luck, roll with life.
