Kalevala Tarot - Five of Stakes
By Kalervo Aaltonen & Taina Pailos
US Games Systems

Four women and one man wave birch staves at each other in close proximity. We see the faces of three of the women; the man and the other woman are hidden from us. They do not look pleased, two of them in fact are quite angry, their faces are distorted.

LWB:
Upright - There are conflicting goals or desires.
Reversed - Some people may abuse your confusion.

Conflict, misunderstandings. Talk it out before it comes to blows - at least try. Maybe these folks did try, but with this many people involved, it seems more like the conflict is based on rumor and innuendo and misunderstanding, if not outright deception by another party.

What did the couple do to wrong the other three? We have a man and a woman set apart from the other three women; the woman at the bottom, with her face turned away from us, seems not to be a part of the other three, who *are* together. The three are against the man.

Maybe he cheated on his girlfriend with the three, and they are angry at being lied to. Of course, one would expect the one at the bottom, if she were the girlfriend, to be just as angry at the cheating of the man. Though maybe it wasn't her he cheated on.

So this would say, problems with one's sweetheart. Lies in general, whether received or dealt by the querent. Stick to your word, whatever it was, you had better be able to deliver. Don't promise anything you can't produce.
