Hudes Tarot - Five of Wands
Deck:
Susan Hudes
Book:
Wisdom in the Cards by A.L. Samul
Publisher: US Games Systems
In this card, we see two men each holding a wand in the same position. Three wands stand in front of them. All the wands are of equal length. The two men are looking directly at each other. One is dressed in a more 'wealthy fashion' with what almost looks like a dark navy velvet outfit with matching boots. The other man is barefoot with a very plain looking green outfit. The barefoot man seems to have taken a step toward the other man but neither has raised a wand at the other.
Card Meanings from the Book:
Upright: "Integrity, honesty and equality in business dealings. Negotiations in progress. Being willing to look at all avenues of actions. Respect for the other party or parties in business or in negotiations generally."
My take is a little different. I feel like the man who is barefoot is challenging the other man. I also do not see the equality in the card that the book gives. The well dressed man is holding his ground and not making any move toward a defense when the other man steps forward so it seems that he is respectful and willing to look at "all the avenues of actions."
Reversed: "All issues are not being examined properly. Decisions made too quickly, before everything is on the table. Dishonest negotiations."
Affirmations: "I act honestly and with integrity. I have the ability to find a workable solution that respects all concerned."
Prayer: "Help me treat others with respect. Especially in my workday world, help me see the other person's point of view. Grant me the courage to act out of principles of honesty and integrity, especially when the temptation is great to act otherwise."
