Summarized directly from the not so LWB by Emil Kazanlar

The EMPRESS: has as its kabballistic origins, the third letter of the Hebrew alphabet: G or Gimel = camel:- symbolizes storage of water inside oneself; a child with which one becomes pregnant. Symbol for entrance & exit:- for dialogue in which a person is both a speaker and a listener. It is the time of Summer and the harvest; glorification of femininity, beauty & success. It is the Virgin Mary enthroned in majesty, at her feet irises, ears of corn, a lily or a lotus & crescent moon. The EMPRESS of the major Arcana is the angel of creativity, the radiance of pure beauty. She stands for the outer & inner beauty and the womanly virtues, for our shared mother, the Earth & for the produce of the Earth, the harvest.

The EMPRESS of the third major Arcanum, is in part the heavenly woman clothed in the Sun, who is described in St John’s revelations; partly the bride in the Song of Solomon & finally, the betrothed chosen by God, who is described in the Koran in the chapter about the Virgin Mary.
