Pagan Tarot - Eight of Wands

Description: The protagonist sits on the floor in her living room, her back resting against the couch. She's got her comfy clothes and her comfy shoes on. She looks like she got home from work and changed out of her business suit, and is now just kicking back and relaxing as she desultorily goes through her mail. Around her are pieces of mail: one stack of unopened envelopes, tied together, as well as some opened letters. In front of her are some opened envelopes with money spilling out; in front of these lay eight wands, pointing at the protagonist. She holds an open letter in one hand and smiles.
Author's interpretation (Gina Pace gives descriptions only for the numbers and the suits, not for each card in particular):
"The Fire Suit is . . . [the] challenge to find and identify oneself without labeling, to be certain of one's ethics and standards, and to solidify and understand one's beliefs and values in life. ... Eight is another challenge; we are hard at work on the path we have chosen, but this time our labor pays off and we feel as though what we are creating will finally benefit us and those we love."
My take: News doesn't come any better than this. It reminds me of a Dorothy Parker line: "The sweetest words a writer ever reads are 'Check enclosed.'" Finally, all our hard work has paid off. We made it. Time to kick back and enjoy the success we've earned.
