Comparative Tarot

Ace of Clubs: Two figures with similar, if not identical features, cling together in a dark space, looking upward as though awed. Behind one of the figures we see a gently glowing candle. A second candle sits atop a black pedestal, its orange-red glow brightening up a bit of the darkness. The base of the candle is adorned by a star. Silvery rays dripped down from the candle base, like melting wax. One of the figures clutches another candle behind the back of the other.

The Book says: A creative beginning; the inspiration needed to fuel a project. Enterprise, inventiveness, empowerment. May suggest a career change or an important new direction. In it's reverse the card could indicate a false start, setbacks, destructive energy or not making use of one's potential.

Bee's Buzz: This card is the candle that lights the darkness, revealing what we've been hiding from ourselves. The candles are our spirit connecting with the divine in our lives. Our creative, passionate fiery nature is what brightens up our lives and makes each day exciting and vibrant. If we didn't have something that inspired us every day then think how dull life would become. The Ace of Clubs is a reminder that we can start our own spark, transform our own lives, inspire ourselves. But before we can do any of this we need to empower ourselves and accept that we do indeed have this power. Right now I'm taking a class called Empowerment Skills for Leaders and the one principle the continually reinforce is that we have the power to transform our lives. We can choose to accept and use that power or allow our light to dim and ultimately blow out.
